Your photos, boards and handwriting are yours. MeBoard has no account and no sign-in. What is on your boards is never sent to our servers.
If you are signed in to iCloud, your boards and photos are stored in your own iCloud (Apple's CloudKit private database) and synced between devices on the same Apple ID. We cannot see them. Apple's privacy policy applies.
If you choose Private Cloud Compute to make a board, the photos you picked and the words you typed are processed on Apple's servers to make it. Apple does not store this data, and it is processed in a way no one, including Apple, can access.
Downloading an on-device AI model fetches its files from Hugging Face. As with any web request, your IP address and the files fetched are visible to Hugging Face. No photos or words are sent.
When you use a feature that adds a place name or small map from where a photo was taken, the location recorded in the photo, blurred to the centre of the town, is sent to Apple's map services, which return the name and a map image. Photos without a location are not used.
To improve the app we count, anonymously, how it is used — that a board was made or changed — with Google's Firebase Analytics and with PostHog. An anonymous app ID, the device model, the OS version and an approximate region are sent to Google and PostHog with it. The screen is never recorded (no session replay). Nothing on your boards is ever sent: no names, photos, words or places. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
MeBoard is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Boards and photos on the device go when you delete the app. Data synced to iCloud can be deleted in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → MeBoard. We hold none of your data on our servers.
